Help! My Students Can’t Write! - Simple Ways to Incorporate the Teaching of Writing (and Reading) in Content Areas LIMITED
Limited Capacity seats available

Not just for L.A. teachers, but L.A. teachers welcome! In this session participants will walk away with 3-4 easily-implemented strategies to help students improve their writing AND understanding of content. Strategies are endlessly adaptable, easily differentiated and will work in any subject in which students have to think and write. Participants will see examples of how Judith Hochman’s The Writing Revolution has been implemented in the presenter’s 8th grade humanities class and how they can be adapted for other subject areas and grade levels. These strategies will also help students improve reading comprehension. If you find yourself writing things like "more detail" in the margins of your students' papers, this session is for you. NOTE: SESSION IS A REPEAT FROM NOVEMBER 6TH.
